Balanced Attack Leads Bloomsburg Lacrosse to Victory over IUPINDIANA (PA) - The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team saw scoring from ten different players as the Huskies cruised to a 20-12 victory over Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon. Bloomsburg lead by a score of 14-7 after the first half and added six more goals for the easy 20-12 victory. Goalie Justine Coleman (Media/Penncrest) saved 14 shots in the win. For the Huskies, Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) , Ashley Childs (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) , Megan Taylor (West Chester/West Chester) and Kelsey Quigley (Landsdale/Methacton) each scored three times. Toms and Childs also added an assist apiece. Sam Alexander (Willow Grove/Upper Moreland) and Brittany Lucchesi (Ambler/Wissahickon) both scored two goals in the contest while Danielle Gordon (Delran, NJ/Delran) , Karla Honeywell (Lansdale/North Penn) , Angela Picciotti (Chalfont/Central Bucks West) and Allison McFatridge (Hatboro/Upper Moreland) all chipped in with goals for Bloomsburg. For IUP (3-7, 1-7 PSAC), Mallory Zelawski scored three goals and had two assists while Kylie Miller added four points on three goals and one assist. With the win, the Huskies improved to 5-2 in the PSAC and have a 5-7 overall record. Bloomsburg will host West Chester on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. |
